“Des nôtres” Study

This first study of the Collective's needs assessment project laid the groundwork for a research and knowledge application program by providing an initial portrait of the health status as well as the needs, concerns, and challenges of Manitoba's French-speaking 2SLGBTQ+ community. The results of this quantitative study are already being used to guide the creation of organizational or physical structures needed to better meet the needs of our community.

Phase I Results

The report was unveiled in the presence of the research team during two community meetings on June 17 and 19, 2021, which brought together about forty people. Following an excellent report presentation (PowerPoint) by the lead researcher, Kevin Prada, a Q&A session between researchers, community members, and members of the Collective helped deepen understanding of the results and discuss possible next steps.
